In 2012, David Istas, a Belgian entrepreneur with a singular eye, founded Be Lounge, laying the foundations for a new event aesthetic. Joined by Benoît Loos and Philippe Delaisse, owners of the prestigious furniture brand Ethnicraft, the trio shared a common ambition: to elevate the world of events by imagining spaces of rare sophistication.
David quickly set himself apart with an emblematic first collection: Lounge settings inspired by Nordic design, combining restraint and refinement. In 2013, Be Lounge reached a decisive turning point with the introduction of innovative structures, conceived to unite visual harmony with flawless functionality. This approach became a defining signature: creating distinctive aesthetic environments without ever compromising on use.
Over the years, David has built a team of passionate talents, trained with rigor and precision. This forward thinking vision has propelled Be Lounge to the forefront of the French and international event scene. The house continually develops its collections, expands its inventory and orchestrates large scale projects with remarkable control. Today, Be Lounge supports more than 1,000 exceptional events each year. Apidology is the study of bee behaviour, health management practices, and breeding and selection techniques. Based in the Var region, within the Sainte Baume massif, the OFA brings together around twenty collaborators, beekeepers and scientists working to restore bee populations and strengthen pollination, a vital pillar of agricultural production.
For over ten years, the OFA has led concrete actions in support of bees and biodiversity preservation. From training female beekeepers in France and Rwanda, to applied research on the benefits of propolis for human health and antifungal treatments for plants, as well as raising awareness among millions of people in France about the essential role of bees, the OFA carries out missions of public interest for the general public, businesses, the research community and local authorities.
